Mallory James Mahoney plays Destiny in Disney Branded Television's
comedy series "BUNK'D." Self-assured and confident, Destiny is a
veteran of the beauty pageant circuit and accustomed to having things
her way. Having grown up on one of Disney Channel's most successful
series, Mallory is very excited to transition to one of the older
roles on the show. Starting her "Bunk'D" journey at the young age of
13, Mallory's character has transformed throughout the seasons, with
season six featuring Mallory's character embracing the role of camp
counselor on the cusp of adulthood. In 2020, Mallory guest starred in
the Netflix series "On My Block." Disney fans may also recognize
Mallory from the Disney Channel Original Movie "Adventures in
Babysitting," in which she starred as Katy Cooper. Also on the film
front, Mallory's first theatrical role was the lead in the short film
"Dig," which was an official YouTube selection at the 2014 Sundance
Film Festival and directed by Sundance Film Festival veteran Toby
Halbrooks. Mallory also starred in the 2016 Lifetime holiday movie
"Heaven Sent." Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Mallory became
interested in acting at the age of 4 when her parents took her to see
a play. Even though she was shy, Mallory became completely bewitched
and knew she wanted to try acting herself. After a year of begging her
parents to enroll in a local theater, they finally agreed, thinking
Mallory may not love it as much as she thought. The next thing they
knew, a director was calling to offer Mallory a solo, and she loved
acting even more than expected. At 8 years old, Mallory decided she
wanted to try acting in television and film and ended up landing her
first audition, a Chuck E. Cheese commercial. On top of acting,
Mallory is an exceptional student and prides herself on earning
straight A's. Her favorite subjects are biology and English, and she
hopes to go to college and major in either environmental studies or
biology to become an animal rights activist. Mallory also has a soft
spot in her heart for volunteer work. In Texas, she volunteers with
Neuro Fitness Foundation, a nonprofit gym for individuals with special
neurological challenges. She is also a junior ambassador for
Freshwater Project International, an organization that provides clean
water, safe sanitation & hygiene facilities to people in villages,
schools and health centers in Malawi, Africa. When not acting, Mallory
can be found cheering on the Dallas Stars ice hockey team or watching
football. She also repurposes furniture and is a vegetarian and animal
lover, lending her time to multiple animal rescue groups.
